7 Easy Steps to Boost Your Traffic

New bloggers often struggle to bring the first visitors to their brand new blogs.

I’m going to share with you how to increase your blog traffic painlessly by just following seven simple steps.

Bringing new readers for your blog can help you in many different ways:

  • Build a community with a bigger audience.
  • Get more shares for your blog posts.
  • Gain more sales for your affiliate products.
  • Receive feedback on your blogging style.

Just like water is essential for a plant to grown. Visitors are a crucial ingredient for your blog to grow.

It is important that you dedicate some time of your day to promote your blog.

Even if you have written the best article on the Internet, it won’t matter if there is no one to see it.

Before you take a look at my easy steps to grow your blog traffic, I need to ask you a really important question.

What is stopping you from attracting more visitors?

Most bloggers do not realize that they are the ones stopping their blog from growing.

Some of the stressful thoughts that stop new bloggers are:

  • “I want to get the perfect blog design first”.
  • “I need to have more content on my website”.
  • “I have not set up my mailing list yet”.
  • “My blog posts are not good enough.”

If you have had any of these thoughts, stop for a moment and take a deep breath.

It is ok to feel insecure about your blog. You are doing something entirely new.

I felt the same when I launched my first blog.

I did not want to share my posts because I thought they were not good enough.

Because of that, it took me a long time before I could make any kind of progress.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PERFECT.

This is something for you to remember in every step of your blogging journey.

You will keep learning new things as you grow as a blogger.

As I mentioned before, feedback is an important part of progress even faster.

Also, it is important to keep in mind that there is always a way to edit and correct any kind of mistake.

So don’t worry and let’s grow your audience now!

1. Social Networks

Probably the most common way to share content nowadays.

Social networks are a powerful tool to gain more viewers for your blog.

Pick one or two networks to begin with and stick with them until you learn exactly how they work.

One of the most common blogging mistakes in this step is that new bloggers try to create a profile in every social network out there.

The truth is that there is no time to share your content everywhere.

Learn to master a single social network and you will notice your viewers growing each day.

You’ll be surprised as people start sharing your content with their friends.

2. Make Your Content Easy to Share

This step is closely related to the first one.

It is possible that a new blog visitor finds your blog and likes your content but there is no clear way to share it.

You need to have visible social sharing buttons for your visitors.

Also, focus on the social networks you are already using.

Studies have found that it is more likely for visitors to share when you have between 2 and 4 share buttons.

Just keep it clear and simple when it comes to buttons

3. Online Forums

Forums are big communities of people with similar interests.

Join a forum within your niche and stay active within the community.

Most forums have rules you need to follow so you can’t share your links just like that.

Participate in the newest threads and share your knowledge and experience.

Share guides, stories, and tutorials to create a following within the forum.

They’ll be interested in visiting your blog and see what else you have to share.

4. Guest Posting

This is a fantastic way to bring more visitors from another blog similar to yours.

Guest posting is when you contact the owner of another blog and offer to write an article for them.

At the end of this article, you’ll share your contact information and a link to your own blog.

Not every blogger agrees to accept guest posts on their blogs.

But you can certainly find a few around the web related to your main topic.

Send them an email through their contact page and tell them you are interested in guest posting for them.

If their viewers enjoy your post, they are also likely to visit your blog for more information.

5. Email Marketing

This is not exactly a technique to gain new viewers but to get more returning visitors.

Collecting emails from your audience will allow you to let them know when you release new content.

As long as you focus on quality, they’ll be happy to hear news from you every week.

Just make sure to use this method to bring more visitors carefully.

If you start sending too many emails, your audience is likely to unsubscribe from your list.

6. Start Making Videos

Probably the most difficult step for most bloggers.

You might not feel comfortable in front of a camera or just would not like to show yourself in a video.

Do not worry.

The truth is that this is not necessary at all.

There are hundreds of videos narrating the information.

PowerPoint is an amazing tool for this purpose.

Again, do not aim to be perfect.

It is true that you will not be getting millions of views on your videos.

But as you become good at it, you will start seeing hundreds or even thousands of views.

And some of them will even visit your blog if you link it in the description.

7. Keep Creating Content

Maybe the most overlooked way to attract new traffic.

Mainly because this final step is going to bring new visitors in the long term at first.

Building more blog posts for your audience will motivate them to come back.

Also, as your blog grows, search engines like Google will start noticing your blog and sending more traffic to it.

The minimum amount of updates I recommend is a new blog post every week.

Ideally, you should be posting two times a week and three times if you are just starting your blog.

If your visitors see that you take more than a month to update your blog they are not likely to come back.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, there are many different ways to grow your blog traffic.

I have shared with you my favorite methods.

If you don’t want to implement all of them, I recommend you to at least to try them out for a week.

You’ll notice whether or not you got any progress.

The most important thing is that you keep constant growing your audience every day.

Make sure you schedule daily activities to keep growing your traffic.

Sharing one post will take you less than five minutes and may bring you huge results.
